PRISCILLA MUCHAPE SOUGHT BY POLICE.
The Bulawayo Police are appealing for information that may assist in locating Priscilla Muchape, a 33 year old from Northend, who is wanted for the murder of her 6-year-old stepdaughter.
According to Bulawayo Police Spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube the tragic incident occurred on May 26th, 2023, when the now deceased and her 8-year-old sister were awakened by their stepmother during the night.
Inspector Ncube said, “The now deceased refused to wake up, angering their stepmother, who then assaulted her with open hands, kicked her stomach and pushed her against the wall.”
Untimely Death
The young girl then collapsed after screaming once and sustained severe head injuries, which ultimately led to her untimely death.
Investigations have revealed that the injuries suffered by the now deceased were a result of ongoing abuse inflicted by her stepmother. The body of the child displayed multiple injuries, including a fresh cut on the left ear, injuries to the legs and feet, as well as a swollen head.
Whereabouts Unknown
Disturbingly, Priscilla Muchape disappeared soon after committing the horrendous act, and her current whereabouts remain unknown.
Inspector Ncube urged the public to come forward with any information regarding Muchape’s location.
“We are calling upon anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of Priscilla Muchape to please report to the nearest police station or contact the investigating officer, Assistant Inspector Gundu, on cell phone number 0773 265 151 or the ZRP Khumalo on 02922- 74491,” stated Inspector Ncube.
