Makhubalo Dynasty: the Company Bringing Development to Bulawayo.
In a bid to help diasporans who have been scammed in the past, Makhubalo Dynasty Private Limited Company was founded in honour of the owner’s grandfather. The company hopes to bring urbanization to rural areas, giving people a chance to build their homes without fear of being conned. Trustworthiness has been described as one of the company’s best qualities, something customers are proud of.
Furthermore, Makhubalo Dynasty Private Limited Company is making a name in the construction industry in Zimbabwe with its goal of providing trustworthy services to diasporas who have been scammed by con artists in the past.
Family Values
As the company’s founder, Melukuthula Cetywayo Sibanda, shared, “We named the company after my grandfather as a way of honoring him, and we want to uphold the family’s values of hard work and integrity.”
Starting from scratch wasn’t easy, since many banks were hesitant to support them. However, the company persevered and gained the trust of its customers. “Being trustworthy is our trademark. We prioritize delivering quality work and making sure our clients are happy with the results.” Melukuthula emphasized.
Target Market
The company’s target market is rural areas where they aim to bring urbanization and modern construction technologies. “We want to make rural areas more liveable and attractive to potential investors. Our guiding principle for conducting business is ‘Fadza Mutengi,’ which means exceeding expectations; and ‘Jabulisa Umlungu,’ which is Zulu for ‘Make the White people happy.’ This doesn’t mean we prioritize foreigners, but it’s a reminder to treat everyone respectfully and as equals,” Melukukuthula explained.
Additionally, Makhubalo Dynasty has faced staffing issues, but the team works under pressure to meet deadlines. “We train our employees to handle any situation and prioritize safety on the worksite,” shared the company’s head project manager, Melukuthula.
Despite the challenges, the company has built several houses up to slab level in Cowdray Park Bulawayo and completed one entirely from scratch in rural areas. Melukuthula added, “We constantly market ourselves on social media and through word-of-mouth. This has helped us gain popularity, and we are grateful to have received a few tenders.”
Roads & Mega Malls
The company’s plans for the future include building four-way forward roads to reduce traffic congestion in Bulawayo and constructing mega malls to attract tourists. Melukuthula concluded, “We are inspired by the development in Dubai and want to bring similar progress to Zimbabwe. We believe that by providing reliable and affordable construction services, we can contribute to the country’s economic growth.”
Lastly, Makhubalo Dynasty’s success story serves as a testament to the importance of hard work, perseverance, and integrity in achieving business goals.
