ZIDA Launches DIY Portal to Revolutionise Business Processes
Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA) unveiled its ground-breaking DIY Portal, a digital platform poised to transform the landscape of business operations in the country on 22 February.
With a commitment to enhancing transparency, efficiency, and investor experience, ZIDA’s DIY Portal promises to be a game-changer for Zimbabwe’s economic growth.
“Today marks a turning point for Zimbabwe. The DIY Portal is not just a tool; it’s a symbol of our commitment to progress. We’re ready to work with other government ministries and departments to ensure a seamless experience for investors,” said Chief Facilitator, Never Nyemudzo.
Inquiry Handling
He added, “This portal we are launching today is your inquiry handling. Gone are those days when you sent an inquiry to ZIDA and it is lost in so many cracks. The system now allows us to capture your inquiry and then assign it to somebody who is going to handle that.”
Streamlined Processes and Enhanced Transparency
The DIY Portal is more than just a technological innovation; it represents a fundamental shift in how business is conducted. By digitising key processes, ZIDA aims to simplify interactions between investors, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
Some of key features highlighted during the launch are investor registration, licence application, and sector selection
The portal allows new investors to sign up seamlessly, eliminating paperwork and bureaucratic delays. With the DIY Portal, investors can apply for licences online, and the streamlined process ensures that licences are granted within two to five days. This efficiency is a boon for businesses eager to hit the ground running.
Sector-Specific Investment
Investors can specify their sector of interest directly through the portal. Whether it’s agriculture, manufacturing, or technology, the DIY Portal ensures that the right information reaches the relevant authorities promptly.
As Zimbabwe positions itself as an attractive investment destination, the DIY Portal stands as a testament to the power of technology. With its user-friendly interface and commitment to transparency, it’s a beacon of hope for investors seeking a smoother path to success.
