23-year-old ex-convict arrested for unlawful entry and theft in Nketa suburb
A 23-year-old ex-convict woman has been arrested on accusations of unlawfully entering four houses and stealing valuables such as cash, cell phones, and clothes the following day she was released.
Bulawayo acting police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector, Nomalanga Msebele confirmed the arrest of Sifiso Ncube who was released from Mlondolozi Prison on November 14, 2023, and was arrested the following day for the unlawful entry and theft that occurred in Nketa suburb.
Ass Inspector Msebele said, “Police confirms the arrest of Sifiso Ncube a female adult aged 23 of no fixed aboard for unlawfully entry and theft which occurred in Nketa Byo. The same was released at Mlondolozi Prison on the 14TH of November 2023.”

Unlawful Entry
Acting spokesperson added, “On the 15th of November 2023 at around 1200 hours, the accused person unlawfully entered four houses where by she was using a hoe to forcefully open the doors. While inside she would steal valuables such as cash, cell phones as well as clothes.
At the first house she took a Huawei YS lite cellphone worth US$50.00 and a black dress. She went to the second house and took US$ 50.00 that was inside a ward rope. She proceeded to the third house and stole a black Samsung cellphone valued at ZAR 1000 which was on the coffee table.”
Msebele further revealed that she went on to the fourth house, where she found the complainant bathing. She took a black vivo cellphone and was caught by the complainant while leaving the house.
Mobilised Neighbours
The complainant mobilised neighbours who caught the accused person. She was searched, and all the stolen phones were recovered except cash. The owner of the stolen dress also identified it since the accused person was wearing it.
In light of this incident, the acting police spokesperson advise members of the public to be careful even during the day as unlawful entry cases can happen anytime.
She said, “We appreciate the members of the public who worked together and managed to apprehend the accused person. We advise members of the public to be careful even during the day as unlawful entry cases can happen anytime.”
