A Bulawayo man in court for stabbing a friend
A 27-year-old man from Emakhandeni suburb has been nabbed and dragged to court for allegedly stabbing his friend with a pair of scissors during a dispute.
Mxolisi Kinani appeared before regional magistrate Joseph Mabeza, where he pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder. He was subsequently remanded in custody until 20 December. The details surrounding the dispute remain unclear.
Scissors Assault
According to the state, on 8 December and at around 8pm near a children’s home in Emakhandeni suburb, Kinani and the victim engaged in a scuffle, during which Kinani attacked the victim with a pair of scissors.
The victim was stabbed once on the left side of the ribs, resulting in a deep cut. The severity of the victim’s injuries required them to be taken to Mpilo Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical attention.
The matter was reported to the police leading to the arrest of Kinani and the victim was taken to Mpilo Hospital where he is currently hospitalised.
