Long Awaited
The Egodini Mall Project has been a long-awaited project, with the initial tender for the redevelopment of the terminus advertised and closed on 25 June 2012. The tender was awarded to Terracotta Trading Private Limited, a South African-based developer, after going through all the necessary processes.
It is expected to have various phases, which will be implemented responsibly in line with market-driven tenant demand.
The reopening of the Egodini Terminus is a significant milestone for the city of Bulawayo. The Egodini Terminus is a vital transportation hub for the city, and the reopening of the terminus will provide much-needed relief to the city’s commuters.
In addition, the reopening of the Egodini Terminus is expected to have a positive impact on the city’s economy, as it will provide a platform for informal traders to sell their goods and services.
