Khanyi Brahmans: A Cattle Rear Story
In this episode I speak to Mtobi Ndiweni, the Director for Khanyi Brahmans, who shares his passion for red Brahmans. Mtobi’s love for cattle rearing was inspired by his father who was a successful cattle rearer in Gwanda.
After initially following in his father’s footsteps, Mtobi ventured out and founded his own business, Khanyi Brahmans.
Mtobi’s passion for red Brahmans is evident in his work, he speaks with such enthusiasm and energy that it’s infectious. He explains that one of his red Brahman bulls is worth anywhere between 15 000 to 20 000 US dollars, which shows just how important and valuable this breed of cattle is.
In this episode, Mtobi delves into his personal experience rearing red Brahmans, what makes this breed so special, and how he continues to work tirelessly to improve the bloodline.
We also discuss the challenges that come with running a cattle-rearing business and how to overcome them.
Whether you’re a seasoned cattle rearer or someone who has a passion for agriculture and farming, this episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in learning more about red Brahmans and the incredible work being done by Mtobi and his team at Khanyi Brahmans.
