Tehila Creations- Revolutionizing the Event Management Industry in Zimbabwe and Beyond
A 30-year-old entrepreneur, Sibusiso Ndlovu, is making waves in the event management and planning industry in Zimbabwe with her company, Tehila Creations. Ndlovu, who founded the company in 2016 in South Africa, spoke to us about her journey and what sets her company apart from others in the industry.
When asked about her inspiration for starting the company, Ndlovu explained that she wanted to do better in life and appreciated the value in creating her own legacy as an entrepreneur.
Growing the Brand
“I felt I needed to do something that can actually help me appreciate my own effort and also break out of family barriers,” she said.
Ndlovu’s vision for Tehila Creations is to become an international brand that will plan and organize global events such as the World Cup. The company’s mission statement, “Your joy is our satisfaction,” aims to emphasize the company’s commitment to client satisfaction.
Tehila Creations specializes in event planning, decor, catering, and venue services. According to Ndlovu, what sets her company apart is that they start planning every event from scratch and work closely with clients to ensure that each event is unique and tailored to their specific needs and preferences.

Delivering on Scope
“We sit down and talk to our clients to find out exactly what they want,” Ndlovu said, “and we come up with ideas that can make their event stand out.”
To stay up to date on the latest trends and designs in event planning and catering services, Ndlovu attends events, makes use of social media, and travels to different African countries to see what they’re doing in the industry.
However, there are challenges that come with running an event planning and catering service. Ndlovu cited the economic climate of the country as a significant factor that affects the business. Additionally, she mentioned that sometimes clients are unreasonable and last-minute changes can be frustrating.

Feedback From Clients
Despite these challenges, Ndlovu measures the success of an event by receiving feedback from clients and attendees. “My successes come from the feedback I get from my clients and the people who attended the event,” she said.
For those looking to start their own event planning business, Ndlovu advised taking courses in event planning, catering, and event coordination, building relationships with clients and vendors, and being sober-minded and skillful in their approach.
“It’s not a bed of roses, but it’s worth it,” she said.
Ndlovu’s ambition and dedication to her craft have positioned Tehila Creations as a formidable company in the event planning and management industry in South Africa. With a focus on client satisfaction and bespoke event planning, it’s no surprise that her company continues to receive rave reviews from clients and attendees alike.
