TTI Pvt Ltd Donates $23K Food Hampers to Bulawayo Vulnerable Households
Tendy Three Investment (TTI) Pvt Ltd gave back to Bulawayo society through donation of food hampers worth USD23 000 to vulnerable households in Bulawayo through the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Fund on Friday.
At least 1000 households who were identified through Bulawayo City Council social welfare department benefitted.
TTI Executive Chairperson, Lizwe Mabuza acknowledged motorists who pay parking fees for making the donations possible.
Parking Contributions
He said, “This donation was made possible through motorists who park their vehicles in town and pay for the parking services. We are very grateful to them. If it wasn’t for them we would not have managed to make this gesture.”
Mabuza also revealed that this was their fourth donation to members of the community although the company (TTI) is only turning two years old in February 2024.
Appreciated Donations
Bulawayo Deputy Mayor, Councillor Edwin Ndlovu acknowledged and appreciated the donations on behalf of BCC.
He also revealed an increase in the number of people who have been requesting to be added to the social welfare list.
Need in Our Community
“While we hand over these hampers, Over these hampers, we are cognisant of the need that is there in our community. We continue to get more people requesting for inclusion in these lists. In 2022 we had over 8600 applicants and this year we expect to get just about that number or more from the enquiries we have been getting,” Ndlovu said.
“The ballooning numbers over the years are reflective of the need in the community. It thus calls on all of us to play our part in giving to our friends, families and neighbours.”
