Shocking as 59-year old Bulawayo man allegedly rapes one year old

Bulawayo Police have arrested a 59-year old for allegedly raping a one-year old girl who was left in custody of a 14-year old girl.

According to Bulawayo Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube the accused person usually helped the girls when left alone by their mother who works in town.

He said, “On the 24th of January 2024 in the morning the complainant aged one year was left with her sister aged 14 whilst their mother proceeded to town for some work.”

“When the mother came back she found the baby crying and she tried to change her nappies only to find that she had some sperms on her private parts which were swollen,” added Insp Ncube.

The matter came to light when the mother inquired the 14 year old girl and she stated that the man who usually help them with chores came and took the one year old and went away for 30 minutes.

They then reported the case to Hillside Police station and the complainant was arrested.

In response to this shocking incident, the police spokesperson urges members of the public to act humanly.
