ZITF Theme Changed to Focus on Innovation
Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) has announced a change of theme for this year’s edition, shifting its focus from entrepreneurship to innovation as the catalyst for industrialization and trade.
The ZITF’s Chairman, Busisa Moyo, highlighted the complementary nature of innovation and entrepreneurship in opening pathways to economic growth and progress.
“The new theme recognises that innovation and entrepreneurship are complementary forces that work together to open pathways to economic growth and progress,” said Moyo.
Entrepreneurial Innovation
Moyo emphasised the crucial role that entrepreneurs play in leveraging innovation to create successful businesses, while innovation thrives through the adaptability and risk appetite of entrepreneurs.
He also acknowledged the vibrant and growing innovation scene in Zimbabwe, largely due to the government’s initiatives outlined in the guiding Vision 2030, which seeks to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, equitable development, and prosperity for all.
Innovation Momentum
Moyo said, “This theme also recognises that Zimbabwe currently boasts a vibrant and growing innovation scene, largely because of Government initiatives as espoused in the guiding Vision 2030 whose focus is on promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, equitable development and prosperity for all.”
Additionally, Moyo underscored the importance of innovation in driving industrialization, trade, and ensuring a sustainable future for the planet. By focusing on innovative solutions, the ZITF aims to equip businesses with the tools and strategies needed to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.
